Enjoying friends, the sunshine and strolling through a few wineries that bless the Willamette Valley.... sounds heavenly huh? Like something from the movies.
SO I decided to contact all the people that know wine and AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-58274891778871328652011-06-10T09:17:00.000-07:002011-06-10T15:53:08.233-07:00What do YOU enjoy? Well I enjoy long strolls.....Well I enjoy long strolls on the beach and sunsets, and through the forests....ha-ha. I just enjoy walks of any sorts. Dates don't need to be a fancy dinner or something that you always have to pull out the wallet. I actually prefer getting out of the hustle and bustle of the city and exploring. Just hand in hand in the quiet of nature, with a spectacular view. And I did just that the AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-86083746230121258752011-05-26T11:57:00.000-07:002011-05-26T11:57:22.713-07:00Two Roads Diverged in a Wood, Which Road Will You Choose? The Road Not Taken- by Robert Frost

And it’s a Monday, a day I am usually not at my best and spend most of the morning trying to shake off the sleepiness of the sleep I did not catch up on during the weekend. My life is seriously a blur sometimes as I try to cram so much into one 24 hour day. And this weekend was no exception. Although, I am proud to say most of my AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-9785149353119847492011-05-20T14:34:00.000-07:002011-05-20T14:36:10.748-07:00U Should Have Called in SickThese were the words my mother left me....along with this beautiful picture. Of all things I would like to be doing today on this 70 degree day, it would to be on my bike. Biking the countryside. So thank you Mom, for blessing me with this jealousy. According to what she told me this morning, she is at Mt. Angel. A quick Google search and it pulled up this: http://www.mtangel.org/. And I don’t care if we are just friends, there have been some big “Oh no.. you didn’t” moments, that I have brushed aside with a smile and then let myself break in the car. I hate feeling awkward.
But today is a new day, and I got these AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-70964706422854839332011-02-14T10:51:00.000-08:002011-02-14T10:51:54.050-08:00Despise V-day? Do what you LOVE!Hate is a strong word, so I will go with despise. Like any single girl should, I despise Valentine’s Day. Even if I wasn’t single, this really isn’t my favorite holiday. So how crazy is it, that I participated in the Worst Day of the Year ride? Its name actually coincides with one of the coldest days of the year. But how appropriate that it falls right along the holiday…
But no really, when a AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-22577321836778559492011-02-11T10:49:00.000-08:002011-02-11T10:49:14.514-08:00Portland International Film Festival- Happening NOW!One thing I discovered a new passion for last year, are international films. Well, I lied. I took a foreign films course in college and we were graded on watching films and analyzing themes. Tough, huh? This February in Portland brings about the International Film Festival. Check out the schedule and two of my top choices below. The first one is definitely going to be a nail bitter.

I had the pleasure of joining my friends at the Laurelhurst Theater for a $3 movie and pint/small popcorn for $6.25. Now that’s a steal. I mean how many theaters can you enjoy beer, wine and hard cider in? There hard to come by, and this place screams Portland. Really does it take much to be spontaneous? NO! Not really.... I was thinking Saturday at 11:45pm how lazy I was all day that I really needed to make Sunday active. I had gotten ready to eat breakfast with a friend at the Hawthorne Street Cafe, Saturday morning, then proceeded to take a 3 hour nap, cleaned my house and ate a huge burger with WAY too many fries at Five Guys AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-67553018838603835622011-01-27T16:14:00.000-08:002011-01-27T16:14:18.826-08:00GET INVOLVED! Working with the Street Youth of PortlandI first noticed the large amount of street teens in Portland, when I was invited to a dodge ball game somewhere in the parks in Southeast, in 2008. They gathered there every Tuesday during the summer to catch up, hangout and enjoy the game. It was one of my best memories from the summer. They had collected lost balls, balls that get thrown out, that are tattered and worn and its a AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-39813791311993970142011-01-26T23:14:00.000-08:002011-01-26T23:14:54.390-08:00Wishful Wednesday- Top PNW Destination

I want to pick top choice destination places, on my wish list. Crater Lake National Park is definitely one of them. You get some great views of the Olympic mountains and its only about a 20min drive from Port Angeles. The last time I spent time in this part of the Olympics was in 8th grade and we enjoyed snow shoeing. I prefer this over snowboarding.
I am still regretting my decision to snowboard up the intermediateAdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-40435025848883039422010-10-07T16:14:00.000-07:002010-10-07T16:14:11.417-07:00Old Memories and New Beginnings to Small Town DelightsFun story, I was always in love with Sunnyside Beach. Especially during low tide when you could walk all the way down to the opening of Chambers Creek. With my adventurous spirit, I decided that going to just the train bridge wasn’t enough, I had to see the other side. So with my crazy sidekicks, we discovered multiple ways to get across the creek. I have recently enjoyed some of the fantastic bike events held by various organizations in Portland and this is definitely an event I AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-18978087330758725482010-05-11T16:42:00.000-07:002010-05-11T16:42:54.361-07:00A little helping hand goes a long ways from a Mother’s Day CardSo I could have bought a card, that would have been stashed away in the junk drawer… and I could have bought flowers that would have died in about a week… and I could have spent money on another item that my Mum probably doesn’t need. But instead I took on a giant…a hillside to be exact. I hope all adventures this weekend, involved Mums, as mine sure did. Tabor is a little gem in the eastside of Portland. The park sits on top of an old volcanic cinder cone and has some of the most magnificent views of downtown Portland. The view is especially nice on a clear summer night when you can see lights for miles. On a clear day, the view of Mt. Hood can take your breath away. Okay I started this blog so I will make a commitment to update. I keep visiting some great Portland places and really need to start sharing the wealth of my discoveries. One these discoveries, happened last night, on the East side of Portland. It was dine out for KBOO, a not-for-profit community radio station that plays the music of local musicians. 10% of all AdventurePNWhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11072729134003344938noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4391035595105223245.post-77928453733128016532010-01-18T21:58:00.000-08:002010-01-18T23:58:21.697-08:00Ringing in 2010What a better way to ring in the New Years than leaving the country. But for this single girl on a low budget, it had to be not too far away. So what did I do? I headed to the closest border- CANADA!This was the first time I had driven over the border on my own and it was not too bad. Just make sure you have a passport or extended license.
